Is it me, or does this guy not deserve his seat?
Especially been as he is a shadow of his former self and the fact that British superstar rookie Antony Davidson could have got the seat, but lost out to Villeneuve based on his previous history.

Well it's not like Sato, Button, Michael Schumacher, or Rubens Barrichello are showing there skills atm....
You should give him more credit, he build the winning williams car back in the days and last years BAR with his experiance.

Barrichello did well to get 2nd in Australia though.
It pisses me off in F1, in the last 10 years it always seems that every season, one team dominates?!?!?

Wel... not 10.. Last time that I remembered that it was any different was the season Schumacher broke his leg, Ervine and Salo helped win the constructors championship and Hakkinen won the drivers championship. So 2 teams on top .

I dunno, I think JV struggles in the new cars, as he is very much a seat of the pants kind of driver, but you cant drive like that now a days. Just look at him at the last GP locking up brakes and running wide. He needs cars like they were in the 90's, with slick tyres etc where you could really chuck the cars around!

jv struggles peroid. thats all there is too it. he should have won the 97 championship by the 11th race, NOT take it down to the wire. his car in 97 was MUCH better than schumacher's ferrari. i did like JV until he started becoming a whinger in late 96. If Jacques was a great driver he would over come the "new cars" and still be competitive.
