R.I.P. Michael Park

Not sure if you guys follow rallying but sadly Michael Park, co-driver of Markko Martain died yesterday during the Wales Rally GB on stage 15 Margam Park. Cant believe it to be honest, I saw him co-drive on that very stage not long ago and nearly went there yesterday as well.

My thoughts go out to Michael 'Beef' Parks family and friends as well as Markko who must be going through a living hell.

I heard about this too. Markko has pulled out of the Japanese Rally now. Can't blame him. It's hard to think it can still happen in today's day and age, and I've never heard of it before in Rally either (spectators yes, pilots no).

The Welsh Rally is on ITV later on (2am) so I will watch it, but I ain't sure what it will do about Michael. More than likely a montage and a dedication to him.

Weird that it should happen to a British guy on British soil too.
