Hi, Thought I'd share my exploits so far. (2004 patch) Decided to choose BAR and start from a team ranked as a mid team. Absolutly no problem getting sponsorship, must have raised $110M through selling avertising space on the car but the Jonda engine is under powered and a lot of work is required on the car. The car suffers from far to much downforce resulting in bad air resistance. Even without the wings the car has heaps of DF. You may think this beneficial, and so did I but even of Monaco the "drag" meant the car was not efficient Anyway I am 3 races into the season with a highest race finish of 10th with Jenson qualifying only as high as 8th on one occasion. BTW I hired Antony Davison as test driver ( ok I'm a Brit and a BAR fan) So, I have begum a development program. Objectives. 1. Reduce weight to minimum alowed. (Achieved) 2. Reduce air resistance (program underway) 3. Increase Stability. 4. Find the sweat spot for set up. I am hoping Jonda will come up will a mid season revision to the engine, and when my new wings are available I hope to see a significant improvement. Finally, my goal for the season is really to build a platfrom, car, drivers, set ups for the following seasons. Realistically if I get a point this year I will be happy... and a top 6 qulaifying position in a race... Anyway, will elt you know when I get to mid season....

When you say Jonda, you obviously mean Honda.
Does your file not say this? Mine does. In the statistics it is refered to as BAR Honda. And anywhere it relates to it. The only thing where it doesn't is the Picture

Good luck with BAR mate, look forward to hearing the updates! Just one point, I dont think you recieve engine upgrades Im afraid, so you will be stuck with the engine for the year!

So here's an update..
Struggled through to Hungary GP, but due t othe inherant high downforce of my chassis Jenson managed to qualify 4th with Sato 8th. During the race Jenson battled through to 2nd and finally on lap 64 he took the lead.. but.... two laps from the end the engine gave up... Whislt this was frustrating it came as no surprise, I've been struggling all season to increase air flow both in the side pods and air intake. As yet I know I need more air to the engine or I run a leaner mixture at the expense of some HP.
So, I am really enjoying the game, seems pretty realistic and I have leart to be careful in developing too many components too quickly..
My goal remains to get a championship point and I am encouraged by a fine performace from Jenson, but no point leading a race if you can't finnish..
Looking forward to hearing other folks's experiences..

This game is a real challenge man, but just keep going DemonHill, and the results will come! Hungary showed you have the pace to mix it in the points positions, just need to work on the reliability.
Good luck!

It should be easy enough. Make sure you tune your engine. Use the test stand to do this. Save your game first in the option game and then play around with your engine settings. You gotta match up the red and blue lines on the dyno for your engine to be tuned prefectly. Also adjust the fuel/air settings on the engine before each race....it will work wonders!
